    Abortion Doula Training
    Saturdays 1:00 - 4:00 PM EST
    August 8 - September 26, 2026*

*This training was previously scheduled for May 23 - July 11 but has been postponed by ASTC.

    Details

    • This training is facilitated virtually in weekly Zoom meetings with a focus on community-building through connection. Attendance the first week is especially important and attendance for a minimum of 6 out of 8 weeks is required to receive a certificate of completion. If you need to miss more than 2 sessions, it may be better to wait for another cohort.

    • Space is limited. Training cohorts are intentionally kept small to support engagement during meetings. If the cohort you're interested in has already filled up, make sure to join the mailing list and follow @theabortiondoula on Instagram for news about future offerings. If a spot opens up in a previously sold out cohort, it will be announced first to the mailing list on a first-come-first-serve basis.

    • Your registration is only confirmed once payment has been received. Payment can be made directly on the website or by e-transfer following the payment instructions once your order is placed. Payment through installments is an option available at checkout through the Shop Pay payment processor. Payment plans may also be accepted by e-transfer if you run into issues with Shop Pay.

    • If you have any safety or privacy concerns about participating or making a payment please reach out through the contact form. Your payment through the website will show up as "SP abortionsupport.ca" on your financial statement.

    • This training is non-refundable unless cancelled by Abortion Support Training Canada. Reach out to chat if something happens that will prevent you from participating and we will try to find a solution based on the circumstance.

    • Parts of the training are recorded for use by the facilitator to create a pre-recorded version of this training for future use. This will be during sections in which content is presented and not when participants are engaged in group discussion and activities. Participants will be notified anytime recording is in progress, and their faces and names will not be recorded.

Placing yourself on the sliding scale

A sliding scale is a tool that allows for services to be accessed at different price points depending on individual circumstances.

    • Supported rate: for those who would otherwise not be able to participate
    • Regular rate: reflects the true cost of the training per participant
    • Supporter rate: for those with more resources at their disposal

There is no need to explain or justify the rate you choose, but this guide can help you make the choice (right-click and open image in a new tab to see larger version):
